In 2013 so far, they've been honored with SPBGMA awards, Grammy nominations, and a performance at one of President Obama's inaugural events. JJ Lawhorn grew up as a good ol' Southern boy in Virginia, preparing himself for a life on the family farm. Things changed quickly for him about three years ago when a producer found his songs on youtube, which lead to a publishing deal, and ultimately, a record deal with Average Joe's Entertainment.
