|  The purpose of the orchestra is to provide a place for musicians to learn all the basics of performing and musicianship, both in the traditional manner (learning by ear) and using sheet music. The graduated parts allow musicians of various ability levels to play together in harmony.

Hi all, Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I wanted to let you know that preview rehearsals start this week and next for the 2012-2013 NH Fiddle Ensemble. If you are not familiar with the Ensemble, take a look at the videos from the April 2012 performance to see what it's all about. You'll see that the Ensemble is made up of people of all ages and abilities playing a variety of acoustic instruments. We all have a great time practicing together through the winter and then performing as a group in the April concerts. Please feel free to join us at one of the preview rehearsals to see if you would like to join this year's Ensemble. "Sweet, Hot and Sassy" Concert in Sandwich Dec. 14I also wanted to let you know that "Sweet, Hot and Sassy" will be performing at the Doris L. Benz Community Center 18 Heard Road in Sandwich on Friday, December 14. Mary Maguire, Val Blachly and I will play music that's a combination of folk and swing.
