Another week has come and gone, and I have noticed the sun is setting a little later each night! Spring will be here shortly! While I enjoy each of the seasons in their turn, this year I am really looking forward to the increase in hours of sunlight. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who took advantage of my emergency special to raise money for car repairs. I am continuing the "special" to the end of the month, offering 10% which works out to an hour of MFR for $90.

Forgive For Your Heart's Sake
| As I mentioned earlier this month, February is Heart Health Month. One factor in "heart toxicity" is holding on to anger and resentment. Nursing a grudge raises blood pressure, reduces immune function, may lead to depression and places an enormous physical load on the entire body. It can increase the risk of hear disease, stroke and/or cancer. Forgiveness does not mean condoning, excusing, forgetting or denying an offense. Forgiveness IS accepting that something that happened was in opposition to our wishes that we cannot change, and deciding to move past it. MFR (Myofascial Release) is a form of structural bodywork which combines stretching and pressure to the fascia (connective tissue) and muscles to relieve chronic pain and tension, and allow the muscles to return to their correct position, length and function. This is very slow-paced work, often accompanied by a release of stored memories and emotions. MFR can help promote relaxation and reduce stress. Removing fascial restrictions also aides the body to function at peek efficiency Along with treatments, patients will learn valuable self-treatment techniques and a better sense of being "in" their bodies to help them maintain progress between sessions and take more control of their own good health.
