Voting Day: May 14, 2013

Did you know that in the last provincial election less than 51% of eligible voters went to the polls?

Voting is an important part of our democratic process. It is a chance, for every eligible person to influence the policies that affect our lives on a daily basis. With only a simple mark on a ballot, voting lets us decide who our representatives will be and what our future will look like. The right to vote is protected by Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms
and is one of our country's most cherished institutions.

United Way of the Central & South Okanagan/Similkameen

Last November we began our membership renewal campaign and the members who renewed their membership with the Chamber before Dec. 31st were entered for a chance to win a Total Office Makeover. The United Way won the contest and now the Makeover is complete.

A huge thank you to our co-sponsors Total Office Business Furnishings, Sticks & Stones Design Group and 103.9 The Juice for all of the work they have done on this project.

Along with their contributions, others in the community have donated their time and materials to make the United Way office fresh and vibrant.
