AAF Toledo
For over 100 years the Advertising Club of Toledo has been the premiere organization for Marketing & Advertising professionals in our region. We now evolve. We now call recognition to the national affiliation we have with the American Advertising Federation, making us familiar to professionals across the nation. Allowing us to grow, strengthen and take this club to the next level. On behalf of the board we are proud to announce AAF Toledo as the new name of this fantastic organization. The Toledo Chapter of the American Advertising Federation, AAF Toledo, will be recognizable to new professionals coming to this great city and help us to attract some of the most talented speakers for our events. We would like to thank Joe Pinciotti, UlrichPinciotti, for creating this very identifiable logo. So over the next few months you'll be seeing this transition and a new website thanks to Bill Sattler, Madhouse. You can expect everything you love to stay the same.

Improving on Tradition
"Advertising is the most fun you can have with clothes on" -- Jerry Della Femina
"Theme and quote." That is how I want to start each one of my newsletters as your new AAF Toledo President.
A great Tradition has already been established with the American Advertising Federation Toledo. And before I go any further, I want to thank our 2013/2014 Board Members. Last year proved to be a wild success. Karen did an amazing job and she should be recognized for her leadership and creativity. She helped make some significant improvements to some of our key events.
With the support of Karen, past members and all the new members, I want to continue to improve on what our amazing organization has done for the Toledo area. We already recognize the best in advertising. This year I want to find the developing talent Toledo already has...and most importantly, keep it here.
For my presidency and this campaign I will need everyone's help. From the colleges who inspire creativity to the organizations who thrive on creativity, we are looking for companies to sponsor 3+ students from each of the colleges and universities around Toledo. These students will work with AAF Toledo on many different and important tasks. We WILL NOT be locking them in a dark room and having them working on tedious and mundane tasks. They will be networking, they will be learning, and they will be connecting with local businesses at events like our monthly luncheons.
Most importantly, advertising is about communicating a message. Now, more than ever, advertising is no longer limited to 1, 2 or 3 platforms. AAF Toledo will focus on showing our reach and communicating our message more effectively. We will be utilizing our social media far more than before, connecting with local agencies more efficiently, and applying the talents and knowledge of our outstanding Board to do all this. But, we will need all of our members' help, and the more members and the more community participation we can bring, the more successful this campaign will be.
With the strength of this year's Board and the support of our members, I feel the strategy and goals we have put forth are achievable. I look forward to a very successful term. So, let's get everyone involved, let's make a difference, and let's have some fun.
