JABBERS, I am beside myself over the reservations that have been pouring in for our Five Years of JABBING Anniversary Party on October 3rd! All proceeds from your RSVP's go straight to United Way of Miami-Dade. As usual, you are making a difference.
I am as excited to gather with all of you {our JABBERS, our clients, our board members, our friends and our community} as I am to celebrate the milestone of our five year anniversary.
Many of you have powerful stories to share about the connections you have made with each other through JAB over the past five years. JABBERS, you have taken on many roles in our community: information swappers, supporters, friends, confidantes, advisors, helpers, guides, do-gooders, philanthropists and in some cases, life changers. This is a community that we have built together and one that I am proud of everyday. I cannot wait to see you, thank you, and commend you all in person.
If you haven't made your reservation yet, click HERE. But please hurry! Zadok Gallery is gorgeous, but space is limited and it's filling up fast! {Remember, your $40 contribution goes to United Way of Miami-Dade!}
We look forward to raising a glass with you on Thursday, October 3rd.
Now on to the really important things ... what to wear?!
Happy JABBING!
~ Boo

Three's a CrowdI am not happy about the dynamic my fiancé has created between his ex-wife and me regarding their teenage children. I've somehow become the "bad guy", although I am actively avoiding involvement in their parenting. I would like for all of us to speak to a counselor together. This is not a conversation I look forward to having, and I would like to come prepared with a short list of professionals who can get our new, multi-parent family on a good track. We are located in Ft. Lauderdale and she is located in Miami Shores. Thanks for your help.

A Fresh Face at Five
From Team JAB
As Mom liked to say, "Nothing looks better on the outside than being good on the inside ... And a make-over never hurt either." JABBERS, we've taken those words to heart. In upcoming weeks, we will be unveiling the fresh face of JustAskBoo, as beautiful and as functional as the community we have created over the past five years, and guaranteed to connect you in ways you never before imagined. It's a shade more chic, a sliver more sophisticated and a mite more mature ... just like all of us!

Style mission accomplished: stunning dress, fabulous shoes, impeccable hair and make-up, and a swanky backdrop ... JAB's Fifth Anniversary Party on October 3! You are already fantasizing about the pictures you will be uploading, sharing and tagging #5YJABBING at the end of the evening. To ensure all goes according to plan, we consulted former high fashion model and JABBER Sandra Saladrigas for tips on posing for pictures. With over 25 years of representing designers such as Chanel, Valentino and Calvin Klein, Sandra knows what the camera likes and is sharing her secrets here with her fellow JABBERS.
- A swipe of petroleum jelly on your teeth lets them shine, and keeps your lips from sticking to your smile.
- Everyone has a better side. Take time to practice posing in front of a mirror, and commit to one. Now throw that hand on your hip for a better silhouette, and to appear thinner.
- Posing for full length photos? Avoid exposing the inside of your thigh. Face forward and turn your body slightly to one side. Your outer thigh looks much better on film.
- Here's a fresh face trick: Look down, and then look up at the camera immediately before your picture is taken.
- Deny the dreaded double chin! Drop your shoulders, keep your head up and push your chin out when having your photo taken.
- Powder is your friend. Glowing skin looks great in person, but in photos your skin appears oily.
Happy posing and Happy JABBING!

'Dress for Vets' and Teach Kids About Veteran's Day!We are looking for local schools and businesses to do a Dress for Vets day where the students or employees dress in red, white and blue and bring a donation to benefit our troops. This is a great opportunity to teach our kids about Veteran's Day. Ours is a grass-roots 501(c)3 which supplies iPads to troops on the front lines as well as gravely injured soldiers in our nation's military hospitals, and every penny raised is used solely for this purpose! If you have a group that is willing to help this Veteran's Day, please reply above. We have flyers, photos, even banners you can use.*

Take a Quick ScanI have a powerful Fujitsu scanner and boxes of old paper documents that I'd like to make paperless, but I don't know how to use all the features of the scanner to make the process as efficient as possible. I'd like to figure out how to organize and store the documents electronically. Do you know someone who can help with both the technical and practical side of making my office paperless? Perhaps even someone who can help with the actual scanning? Your feedback is much appreciated.
