Inspired by a feature on Florida travel published earlier this year by our sister publication JustAskBoo Miami North, we set out to explore our home state this spring. A JABBER reminded us about the charming world of St. Augustine, America's oldest city, which recently celebrated the 500th anniversary of Juan Ponce de Leon's discovery and naming of La Florida with an elaborate two-day fiesta that included re-enactors, musicians and dancers.

With all the valuable inside information from our savvy readers, we suspect Ponce de Leon would have made some great "discoveries" from JABBING. Undoubtedly, he delighted in the North Florida weather, but JABBERS could have coaxed him farther south to enjoy our calmer turquoise waters and milder spring temperatures. This week, JABBERS have several opportunities to share their trusted travel advice, and help others "discover" the best of everything for themselves. And at least one JABBER shares Ponce de Leon's legendary search for the "Fountain of Eternal Youth". Unlike the explorer, however, that JABBER will actually achieve her younger look starting with JABBER-approved referrals on plastic surgeons and dermatologists. Indeed, great adventures are improved by some JABBING!

Have a great week and Happy JABBING!

-Team JAB

A Wrinkle in Time
From Anonymous:  REPLY
I no longer recognize the old woman in the mirror. I am considering botox, chemical peels and a minor face-lift (like a "Lifestyle Lift") for the first time in my life, and am completely overwhelmed. Can you recommend a skilled doctor who can advise me on these procedures, or do you have any advice to give on freshening up my look? Thanks!

The Natural Solution
From Anonymous:  REPLY
I am searching for a holistic or naturopathic doctor who treats thyroid issues, such as Hashimoto's disease, or a conventional physician who is knowledgeable about alternative therapies for thyroid disease and adrenal fatigue. I appreciate your referrals.

Follow That Ship!
From Team JAB
The sequestration just got real: The Navy has announced that budget constraints will keep its tall ships out of Port Everglades during next week's Viva Florida 500 signature event Broward Navy Days Fleet Week, beginning Monday, April 29. JABBERS looking for that tall-ship fix are advised to venture south of County Line Road, and tour Spanish Navy Training vessel Juan Sebastian de Elcano May 1-6, docked at Bicentennial Park in Miami.

Lady Doctor
From Rachael Hodyno:  REPLY
Can anyone introduce me to my new gynecologist? I am in Parkland, and would prefer a doctor without an obstetrics practice. Thanks!

Rare Type "O" Kidney Needed for South Florida Man
From Team JAB
We want to spread the word about a young man in our South Florida community who needs help. Bobby Bebber was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at the age of two. Not expected to survive, Bobby has fought for his life for almost three decades, living life to the fullest in the process. Despite his many challenges, Bobby went to school and then to college at Florida International University. His battle continues as he now needs a double lung transplant to keep him alive. His kidney, which his mother donated to him 11 years ago, is not healthy enough to withstand the medication that he will need, but not sufficiently unhealthy to place him on the kidney donor list. Bobby is now seeking a private "O" type kidney donor. If you or someone you know is interested in being a living donor, please contact the Duke University Medical Center kidney program, where Bobby is currently being treated, at 1.800.249.5864. Many thanks to NBC6 and Adam Kuperstein for this information.

Learn to Swim in Five Days, Guaranteed Results!
From Jackie Doyle:  REPLY
As a parent, I know it's scary to think about your child around a pool when they can't swim. But as a swim instructor with over 30 years experience, I know just what it takes to teach them. I guarantee that your little one will learn to swim in five lessons - or you can return for free. In the heated pool at Westminster Academy, I offer group lessons with a 5-to-1 student to teacher ratio, and private lessons at our pool or yours. I always teach my own lessons, at rates much lower than you'll be able to find elsewhere. To learn more, visit my website HERE.

Divorce Dilemma
From Anonymous:  REPLY
My husband and I are filing for a divorce and neither of us are represented by an attorney. The only question I have is whether it is customary to share the dependent exemption for tax purposes in alternate years even though our daughter will be living with me the majority of the time. I have tried researching this issue and can't find the answer. If you have experience with this, I would appreciate you contacting me. Thanks!
