My mother is Southern. So naturally, I'm big on thank you notes.
I want to thank each of you, JABBERS, for the ongoing contributions that you have made to JustAskBoo. Thank you for the photos of South Florida you have sent us for our Facebook and Instagram pages (please keep them coming!), the stories you have told us for our new Six Degrees of JAB feature, and all the resources you have shared with one another. JAB started out as an email blast five years ago. It evolved into a resource-sharing e-newsletter, and we have since grown into one of South Florida's leading digital publications, and a can't-live-without resource for tens of thousands of loyal JABBERS.
You might have read in the February 24 Miami Herald Business Monday section that we have been working on our second round of investment funding. I am proud to report that we have exceeded our goal! And with this, I would like to extend a special thanks to our angel investors. With this new round of capital, we will enhance our technology and our website to make JABBING even easier and more fun. We even plan to bring you a JAB app which will allow you to post and respond on our newsletters, place classified ads and access the Treasure Chest. We will also host some fun parties and events so that we can all JAB together in person. We assure you that we will work hard to maintain the integrity of JAB, so that you can continue to count on us for reliability and quality control. And there is a very simple way that you can help us improve it even more ... spread the word to your friends who are not yet JABBERS. They can sign up HERE. Stay tuned for these exciting changes. They are all designed to make JABBING even better for you!
Thank you again and Happy JABBING!

Trouble in ParadiseI need your help. I think my husband has been unfaithful, and I am surprised to say I just don't care. This is not the reaction my confidants expect or can understand. I am considering speaking with a therapist about my feelings before I try to discuss this with him, but even that seems like a lot of work. If you can recommend a doctor or can share any wisdom, I could use the inspiration. I am in Coral Springs. Thanks.

The Simple Sermon
I would love to find an old-fashioned Protestant church service with a professional choir and organ music. Flashing lights and guitar music are not for me. I am in Weston, but am willing to travel to the right church. Thank you for your help.

Heading off HydronephrosisMy baby boy was diagnosed with hydronephrosis at birth. There is no sign of reflux, but we are told he will need surgery at six months to correct the problem. Please recommend a pediatric urologist to two very concerned parents. Thank you.

Bahama BoundI am planning a trip to Atlantis this summer with my three children ages nine, seven and four. There seem to be so many choices on where to stay! I would love your opinion on which of the three towers is the most family-friendly, as well as which activities you felt were the most worthwhile for kids. I look forward to hearing from you.

JAB's Favorite Recipes
From Team JAB
Since 1937, the ladies of the The Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale have shown outstanding commitment to volunteerism in Broward County through their ongoing community outreach projects and the legacy of other charitable organizations they have created along the way, including Volunteer Broward, Jack and Jill Children's Center, and The Museum of Discovery & Science. This week's recipe for mouthwatering Coconut Toffee Macadamia Cookies is reprinted for your pleasure and with their permission, from their cookbook, Paradise Served. Ingredients:1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened 1 cup packed light brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 (14-ounce) package sweetened flaked coconut 6 ounces chopped macadamia nuts 1 (8-ounce) bag toffee chips Directions:Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Beat the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and egg in a bowl until well blended. Add the flour and baking soda and beat at a low speed. Add the coconut, macadamia nuts and toffee chips and beat at a high speed until well blended. The dough will be very stiff. Roll heaping teaspoonfuls of the dough into balls. Flatten slightly between your palms. They should be around 2 1/2 inches across. Arrange on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until light brown. Cool for 2-3 minutes on the baking sheet, then remove promptly. Waiting longer may result in sticking. Cool completely and enjoy! Click HERE to purchase a copy of the cookbook, and to support the ongoing community outreach projects of The Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
