This weekend's wintery weather couldn't keep Team JAB indoors ... or anyone else for that matter. Were we seeking warmth in numbers? Every corner of our county saw some kind of carnival or festival, tournament or farmers market, teeming with neighbors (in their sheepskin-lined boots) seeking opportunities to gather and to exchange, not unlike what we do at JAB.
It's a privilege to live in a farm state, JABBERS, and we delight in our locally grown produce and small batch jams and preserves. It's a pleasure to meet local vendors ~ the soap makers, the bakers, the orchid farmers ~ to learn about their craft, and to try new things. Imagine what you can discover and ultimately share with your fellow JABBERS! From a local party favor service that creates chocolate-dipped confections to the perfect truffle honey to accompany your favorite cheese, local gatherings like this are simply the perfect way to spend a crisp winter day in Ft. Lauderdale.
Supporting our local community and learning from each other is what JAB is all about. We hope this serves to inspire you to JAB this week, and maybe discover something new. Because you never know what you may learn from a fellow JABBER. Experience the thrill of asking for a recommendation and receiving responses directly to your inbox in a safe and easy fashion. Respond to a JABBER and share an amazing resource that you recently uncovered. And if you have the perfect product or service to share with or community, just contact us HERE so we can help you promote it to our thousands of reliable, like-minded subscribers.
Happy JABBING!

Can anyone recommend the perfect venue for 50 guests? While the reception may not be black tie, I would prefer suggestions for venues that are very high-class and sophisticated. Thanks in advance!

The Cost of Greatness
From Veronica McNab: REPLY
My nine-year-old daughter has been taking private ice skating lessons for a few years and has expressed an interest in pursuing it competitively. If you have experience on supporting a child athlete at the competitive level, I would love to hear from you. I am interested in receiving feedback regarding the time and financial commitment that is involved and whether you honestly feel it has been worth it. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance!

Good Eats
From Team JAB
You know that euphoric feeling when you have just found the perfect, oh-so-crusty baguette and a sack full of fresh produce at the farmers market? Round up those left over cheeses from your last dinner party and try these delicious variations on the grilled sandwich conceived by our editor and panini enthusiast, Rachael Hodyno, following a particularly inspiring trip to the market: Caramelized onions and Gruyere. This is outrageous with crispy bacon.- Smoked Gouda, tomato and fresh baby spinach.
- Arugula, baby spinach and pepper jack.
- Manchego and sauteed mushrooms. Shiitakes were our choice.
- Brie and apples and Craisins. We can't wait for peach season!
- Sharp cheddar and blueberries and/or strawberries. This was a delightful accident.

Legal Woes
I am so tired of looking at boxes of my law school textbooks. I need advice on what to do with them. I am certain they are too old to sell, and they haven't been referenced in years. Are they worth saving as office decor? Is there a place they can be donated? I would love to hear your opinions. Thanks.

My work involves stretching canvases. Doing this repeatedly is beginning to wreak havoc on my hands. Can anyone recommend a glove suitable for this kind of work that isn't a major fashion eye sore? Thanks so much!
