Howell Nature Center Recognizes Chem-Trend Donation
Howell, Mi - July 31, 2013 -"We saw a need and filled it." Sometimes, it's just that simple. That's how Donna Anderson, of Chem-Trend Limited Partnership in Howell, described the impetus behind this month's donation of $1750 for new folding chairs at the Howell Conference & Nature Center.
The donation attests to a partnership between the two that began in 2010, when Chem-Trend started holding corporate training at the Nature Center. "The HNC offers great team-building training with the ropes courses; and with us being a Howell-based company, it is very conveniently located for our employees," said Anderson. "We have used the Nature Center high and low ropes course for leadership training and other training where we want to build teamwork, and we have used Knoll Lodge for the classroom portion of these trainings," Anderson continued. "The HNC is a great resource for the local business community, and Chem-Trend intends to continue to make good use of that resource!" Knoll Lodge is a hotel-style building, distinguished from the dorm-style buildings by its nine individual suites, each with a full bath. The donation will not only benefit Chem-Trend employees, but also the many other companies, school groups, community organizations, and individuals that utilize the facility every year. A commemorative plaque in Knoll Lodge will acknowledge the donation.
