 Delco Road Runners Club Mission A. To promote regular running as a life-long activity that will enhance the physical, mental and emotional well being of people of all ages.
B. To sponsor weekly fun-runs in Delaware County neighborhoods for fun and fellowship.
C. To promote communication and camaraderie among area runners.
D. To facilitate competitive racing and team competition for all interested members.

Delco RRC board of directors elections were held.
Thanks to Diane Lista our outgoing President (incoming vice pres.), and Bob Zwaan our outgoing vice president.
Welcome, Steve Whitmore as our new club president(if his wife did not know, she does now).

Run to the Lights
Once again, Bill and Shirley Weber hosted the Delco RRC's annual Run to the Lights to view the Christmas lights on display in Drexel Hill. Loads of good food, drink and fun were had by all.

Tyler Arboretum 10K Trail Race (this Club event sells out, register early!)

10K Trail Race - This race was named one of the Philadelphia area's best races by Philadelphia Magazine's BE WELL PHILLY. Presented by Delco RRC, the race is a USATF Mid-Atlantic Off Road GP event. The entry fee is $30 before March 9, and $35 afterwards, until the field is filled. All runners will receive a commemorative premium. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers overall, and also to the top three male and female finishers in 10-year age brackets. Results will be posted on www.DelcoRRC.com. Runners can register online at www.tylertrailrun.com or with an application from Delcorrc.com. Applications are also available at race sponsor The Running Place in Newtown Square and by contacting John Greenstine, (484) 478-1576 and email TylerTrailRun@yahoo.com.

Calling all Delco RRC Team Runners
2013 is the 50th Anniversary of the Caesar Rodney Half Marathon. The date is Sunday, March 17th, 2013, St. Patrick's Day. If you want to compete on a Delco RRC team, do NOT register as an individual. The team entries have a longer deadline, mid February. Last year, we had four great teams. The master's women got first place. The teams are composed of seven runners scoring five. We can field master men, masters women, open coed (for you fast folks), and a new one coed masters. If we have seven runners per team, the cost would be $38.00. This is a BARGAIN! The individual entry is $50 up to 01/31/2013 and goes to $60 up to 3/16/2013. Please think about running for the team. I'll start collecting names, information, and money after the holidays.
