Delco Road Runners Club Mission
A. To promote regular running as a life-long activity that will enhance the physical, mental and emotional well being of people of all ages.
B. To sponsor weekly fun-runs in Delaware County neighborhoods for fun and fellowship.
C. To promote communication and camaraderie among area runners.
D. To facilitate competitive racing and team competition for all interested members.

If you have any interest in taking over, contact me at info@delcorrc.com and I'll give you the information you need. You can also contact Diane Lista at the same email address. I do not have the time to keep this newsletter up on a weekly basis.
Also looking for a couple of other positions to be filled. The club is looking for someone to maintain and update the club website and to check the club email on a frequent basis and forward emails to who needs them and respond to inquiries.

Philly Marathon Water stop |

It's here, the marathon is THIS Sunday, November 18. We need volunteers from early morning until early afternoon.

Car pool to the water stop will depart Springfield Library at 6:00am. Hope to see you there.

| VOLKSWANDERUNG | |
The DelcoRRC Volkswanderung will be on Nov. 22 Thanksgiving Day at Pavillion 8, by the horse stables at Ridley Creek State Park at 8 am for registration and 9am for the Prediction Pie Run and Walk, Run, Bike Event. there will be pies for prizes. The course is the 4.3 mile Multi Use Trail You can only register the day of the event. 15.00 per person or 30.00 per family. There will be mugs for the give away to all who register. You can bring canned goods in addition to entry fee. There will be refreshment after the event.
Also I NEED PIE BAKERS! Please let me know if you can make and bring a pie. We love homemade but will accept anything. The number of pies we have are the number of prizes we give out in the Prediction Run.

| Haverford Reserve Run |
The grounds of the former Haverford State Hospital are now a development with beautiful parks, recreation facilities and trails(many built by Mike Cras, Janet Smith's brother) to run on. This race below is put on by the Haverford Twp. Rec. Dept. and benefits the maintenance of these trails. I plan to run this and hope to see many of you out there supporting these trails. 5k Chilly Chili Trail Run And 1 mile Winter walk.
Race proceeds go to maintaing the trails at Haverford Reserve. Scenic 3 miles of beautiful trails Community Park at Haverford Preserve. Hot lunch following the race in the new Community Rec Center.

Saturday, April 06, 2013 9AM Tyler Arboretum 10K Trail Race
10K Trail Race - This race was named one of the Philadelphia area's best races by Philadelphia Magazine's BE WELL PHILLY. Presented by Delco RRC, the race is a USATF Mid-Atlantic Off Road GP event. The entry fee is $30 before March 9, and $35 afterwards, until the field is filled. All runners will receive a commemorative premium. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers overall, and also to the top three male and female finishers in 10-year age brackets. Results will be posted on www.DelcoRRC.com. Runners can register online at www.tylertrailrun.com or with an application from Delcorrc.com. Thanksgiving Day Volkswanderung
4.3 Mile Run, bike, walk or participate in the Pumpkin Pie Prediction Run during Delco RRC's Annual Thanksgiving Day Volkswanderung to benefit the Interfaith Coalition Food Centers of Delaware County. Thanks go out to Mary Beth Mundy for organizing the event this year. In addition to the entry fee ($15 per person $30 per family-day of registration only), can goods are needed for the food bank. Shelves are bare.
