Welcome to Transit North
The Town of Lockport is working on plans to further upgrade the appearance of the Transit North Corridor. The Town hopes to install gateway signage at the northwest and northeast corners of the Transit Road and Robinson Road (NY 78 & NY 93) intersection. In addition, the Town has planted 36 trees on the west side of Transit Road between Robinson Road and Hamm Road; future plans call for the planting of roadside floral beds. Due to the planned water line construction next year on the east side of Transit Road, tree planting there will take place following the construction activity.

Rue21 to Open Lockport Outlet
Lockport's Tops Plaza will add another young women's apparel store with the opening of a Rue21 outlet in the fall. The 3,000 SF store will be located between TJ Maxx and Olympia Sports. Rue21 currently operates two other stores in Western New York, one in Niagara Falls and one in Hamburg.

Walmart Supercenter Update
Construction of Lockport's 185,000 SF Walmart Supercenter at 5735 South Transit Road is expected to be completed this September. The BonTon Department Store is located immediately north of Super Walmart on the same site.
