STAY THE COURSE

"But we must hold on to the progress we have already made."
Philippians 3:16  (NIV)

Today's Focus: Health and Nutrition

Elijah in 1 Kings 19 experienced the divine importance of mental and physical health in doing God's will. Utterly discouraged, Elijah had a choice to make - continue being depressed or change his mental and physical diet, and do God's will. In verses 7 and 8, it is recorded, "The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, 'Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.' 8 So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God." Elijah nourished his soul with God's Word and ate the divine meal prepared for him. This enabled Elijah to reach his next divine destination. Be encouraged in your spiritual and physical health. Continue feeding your soul God's Word and your body a nutritious diet. God's will for your life depend on it

Today's Thought: Good mental and physical health is vital to doing God's will.

Today's Prayer: "Lord, strengthen me through your Holy Spirit to be in good mental and physical health."
