Today's Focus: Goals and Aspirations
A key biblical truth to attaining goals and aspirations is diligence. Diligence is characterized by steady, earnest, and energetic effort. In sum, diligence speaks to your inner drive to accomplish your goals and dreams. The book of Proverbs details at least three benefits that accompany those who are diligent. First, those who diligently seek God obtain a closer and more fulfilling relationship with God (Prov. 8:17). Examine your diligence in pursuing God. Is it consistent, earnest, and energetic? A thriving relationship with God will fuel your passion to obtain your goals. Second, the diligent become wealthy and have abundance (Prov. 10:4, 13:4). Oftentimes, career and financial goals are aborted due to a lack of consistency. Stay the course in your financial and career goals and trust God for the increase. Thirdly, the diligent have a healthy thought life (Prov. 21:5). Diligence keeps your mind focused on the prize and wards off negative thoughts. In light of these benefits, be inspired to be diligent in your goals and dreams.
