Today's Focus: Finances
'Give' is a key word in the focus scripture. When you design any financial plan, it begins with giving to God. However, giving is a heart matter. For where your heart is, there your treasure will be (Matthew 6:24). Worshiping God through giving of material possessions is just the beginning. A heart given to God will give time, talent, and resources to build the kingdom of God. God desires for His children to be cheerful givers (2 Corinthians 9:7) just like him. God loves giving to us and want us to be in the habit of being generous. Actually, we are warned about fellowshipping with stingy people (Proverbs 23:6). Today, seek to be more generous like God. Examine your tithing habits, but also your generosity.
Today's Thought: Generosity is not limited to finances, but should be a lifestyle.
Today's Prayer: "God, cultivate a generous and giving heart in me."
