"But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." - James 1:22 (KJV)
Today's Focus: Finances
In Matthew 25, the parable of the talents is told where three men are entrusted with different amounts of money while their master is away. Two of the men invest the money and double their master's investment, while the other hides his money. In the end, the two who invest receive blessings and the other gets all that he has taken away. Which of the three are you? Luke 16:11 tells us that if we have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust us with true riches? When you bring the tithe into the storehouse, feed the hungry and cloth the naked, you're showing God that you are trustworthy of all that He is given you. Those are the things that move God's heart and hands to give you His good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over abundance.
Today's Thought: I am trustworthy.
Today's Prayer: "Lord, help me to be faithful with my finances so that I can be your hands and feet in the earth."
