MPV Announces Eid Al Fitr Prayers At Unity Mosques Around North America

Los Angeles, CA - August 13, 2012 - Muslims for Progressive Values announces prayers in observance of Eid al Fitr and associated celebrations across North America at local Unity Mosques.

Eid al Fitr prayers and celebrations will be held at many MPV Unity Mosques across North America. All are invited to join- regardless of religious or spiritual affiliation. As with regular prayer services participants of the Eid prayers can expect to be welcomed and be able to participate at any level they are comfortable with. There is no specific dress code and there is no gender segregation at these prayers.

Eid al Fitr, or 'Holiday of End of the Fast', commemorates the formal ending of the Islamic month of Ramadan and its requisite fasting from dawn (not sunrise) to sunset. Prayers are held followed by family and community gatherings for communal meals.
