The Downtown Council & Alliance Foundation announce the appointment of two new members of it Board of Directors, as well as the full slate of officers an board members for 2017. Joining the Board are Brad Konkler and Mark Stafford.
Brad is the VP of Philanthropy and Community Health for CentraCare. Since 2010, Brad has serviced as VP and Director of Development at Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis, MN. Prior to this, he was Director of Major Gifts at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. Brad's extensive experience in fundraising and community relations will help us further strengthen our relationships with residents and visitors alike.  Mark Stafford recently joined the St. Cloud community as General Manager of Viking Coca Cola. Mark has 30+ years of senior executive business development background and non-profit and community leadership experience that will provide a rewarding partnership with our organization. Andy Barth, Michelle Redding, and Kurt Otto are rotating off the Board. We so appreciate their willingness to service. 2017 Greater St. Cloud Community Pillars

The Greater St. Cloud Community Pillars Forum is an annual gathering of hundreds of area residents who have a shared interest in working collectively to advance the region's top priorities. The goals are to elevate awareness, increase collaboration, leverage resources, and to reinforce a shared vision for the region.
The 7th Annual "Better Together" community forum will feature:
- Don Ness, former mayor of Duluth.
- A snapshot presentation on the poverty in the greater St. Cloud area.
- Highlights from the 9 community pillars.

GSDC Selects Larry Hosch for Business Development
The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation announced its selection of Larry Hosch as Business Development Director. Hosch succeeds Bill Kemp who retires at the end of 2016. Kemp has served the GSDC for nearly 4 years and has played an important role in its success to date.

A definitive agreement has been made. Three generations of the Helgeson family ran GNP prior to 2013. The company began in 1926 as St. Cloud Hatcheries, operated by E.M. "Mike" Helgeson. Subsequent CEOs were his son Don Helgeson and grandson Mike Helgeson.
