Winter Festival Committee Members
We are so fortunate to have so many involved in the planning of our 16th Winter Nights & Lights Festival.  Bringing close to 20,000 people to Downtown takes a great deal of time and effort by many extremely talented and creative individuals.

The week-long Fellowship in NYC was intense and extremely rewarding.  I now have 27 new friends and connections in similar positions from across the globe.  The timing was perfect with so many large projects ahead.  Here is a sampling and we hope to get all of you involved in the very near future:

1)  Working with consultant, Urban Works on Downtown portion of City's
     Comp Plan next steps
2)  Mississippi Riverwalk planning
3)  Streetscape planning
4)  Annual Meeting planning
5)  Winter Festival/Parade planning
6)  Lofts Condominiums project
7)  Downtown Parking
8)  Governor's Fishing Opener

Our organization was not the smallest city represented, but we do have the smallest budget and smallest staff.  What we accomplish, together, is nothing short of magic!

Thank you all for your continued trust in me and the organization.  In June, I celebrated 15 years as the President of the DTC.  I am deeply grateful to the membership and the board of directors.  We truly are an organization that harnesses the strength of volunteers and partnerships, and puts that power to work in our community.  I am excited about our future and honored to serve this organization and its members.  Pegg
