DTC Up & Running Again
Lifting and shifting and moving and disconnecting and reconnecting and organizing then reorganizing.  Yet, we made it!  We're in our new digs at 501 W. St. Germain Street and it is a magnificent space!  Please stop by for a tour, and watch for an invitation to our open house.

We couldn't be more fortunate to be co-located with the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation, and soon the Initiative Foundation will have a satellite office as well.

Now, better get back to work!

Efficiency in Motion
It was in record time for filling the planters with flowers and greenery last Wednesday.  In our most optimistic dreams, we couldn't have had it go any better.  All the plants were in, watered and fertilized by 12:30 pm!

We are so lucky to have such dedicated volunteers who make the Adopt-A-Planter Program such a success.  We look forward to watching the flowers bloom and brighten our Downtown landscape another summer.

With gratitude to:

Trail - History - Art

Crews are working to extend the Beaver Island Trail from 4th Street North to the convention center.  Along the new section of trail will be information panels presenting area history.  The City will also install a Selfie-Spot which will highlight the city's name along the world famous Mississippi River.  The City has initiated a call out to artists to develop this feature.

This year our vibrant arts community will also host a year-long sculpture walk starting this month.  12 pieces of outdoor sculpture will be featured in and around the core of our community - from Lake George through Downtown to the Mississippi River.  United Arts of Central Minnesota and the St. Cloud Arts Commission are hosting this activity with a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board through the generous support of Clean Water Land and Legacy Amendment.

So, what do you think makes St. Cloud a great place to live, work and play?  The St. Cloud GREATER Photo/Video Contest starts today.  If you have photography and videography interests and skills, consider entering the contest.   Submissions due July 29.
History Trolley Tours
Mayor Dave Kleis will continue the tradition of offering history trolley tours.  The trolley has seating for 25 and the tours last about 90 minutes.  They are free and open to the public, departing and returning from the City Hall parking lot.  Dates are being scheduled.

Reservations for upcoming tours can be made by contacting the Mayor's office at 320.255.7201.

Also, as in the past few summers, the trolley will be used to shuttle folks between Clemens Gardens and Downtown.  The trolley will again run on Wednesday evenings as part of the St. Cloud Rotary's Summertime by George (starting June 15th).
