GREATER Vision - City's Comp Plan
|
2016 is just beginning, but we've already created a clear development vision that we'll be focused on all year-and for years to come. One exciting aspect of the Plan is the identification of 5 distinctive Catalyst Sites that were selected for their ample acreage, central locations, and potential to significantly benefit the surrounding area.
For instance, the Lady Slipper Lot is currently the largest surface parking lot in the downtown area, and boasts significant Division Street frontage. The City's plan proposes transforming that central two-acre space into a combination of the following spaces:
- Office space
- Ground-level retail spaces
- Hotel and event center or corporate campus
- Parking structure
- Greenspace, including a park along the frontage
This envisioned plan for the Lady Slipper Lot supports the local economy by attracting the attention of commuters, residents, employers. The other four sites present similar benefits. READ MORE
