Business Safety Network Tomorrow
Use your established video security systems to keep our community safe.  We are partnering with the Chamber, GSDC, and the St. Cloud Police Dept. to bring you information about how to keep your business and our community safer.  Securenet Virtual Safety Network is a process to utilize existing security cameras in fighting crime.  I hope you will join us on Tuesday, January 19 from 8 - 9am at the St. Cloud P.D. Training Room for an information meeting about the system.

Please call to register for this very important meeting.
DB's Validates Ramp Parking
DB Searle's understands that some people don't like parking in the ramps.  But it is easy and even more economical now!    Park in any one of the Downtown parking ramps and bring your ticket to D.B. Searle's.  You'll not only have a wonderful time in the bar or a scrumptious meal dining room, DB's will validate your parking up to $2, which give you a little over 2 hours to relax and enjoy.

Keep the snow off your car in the winter and keep it cool in the hot summer months... and the walk is only 1 block!
Downtown Economic Outlook Positive
The economic outlook for downtowns across North America is more positive than it has been since the Great Recession according to a panel of experts.  The wants and needs of millennials, coupled with rapidly emerging technologies, are interwoven into everything from the types of development projects to the ways we travel and park to how we shape the public realm.  Four major predictions include:
  • Downtown organizations will flourish.
  • Millennials will shape the downtown.
  • Technology will impact everything.
  • Affordability will threaten authenticity.

And while there are many ways to structure downtown organizations to meet a wide variety of needs, one thing that remains a constant is that a downtown entity is essential for a thriving urban core to move forward.

Work continues on delineating responsibilities between downtown organizations and the municipalities in which they are located, while increasingly, partnerships with the private sector must also be in the mix.

Strong commercial neighborhood districts don't just happen organically.  Downtown revitalization is a priority for us, not a secondary component to an overall community mission.  We operate with intention and becoming more sophisticated so that the innovations occurring are more programmatic.  We need to continually prove our value.

We believe we have significant impact on the core issues for Downtown which include a healthy economic return, a robust experience and continuing to be a leader in partnership roles.
