Have You Noticed?
|
The City has been quite busy in Downtown, and we are certainly grateful. A group from the City, Capital One and Pegg pulled weeds throughout Downtown last Thursday as well.
You may have notice the white dots throughout Downtown on the brick sidewalks. These marked bricks will all be replaced.
Als o worth noting are the very aged garbage containers. 7 were sandblasted and painted so far. Thanks go to City crew for taking on the project and improving the aesthetics of Downtown.
Keeping Downtown looking nice and safe is really up to all of us. If you see garbage on the sidewalks or streets, pick it up and throw it away. Throw cigarette butts away (not on the streets or sidewalks). If you see weeds, particularly if they are outside your business/property, pull them. Similar to the Adopt-A-Highway program that many volunteer for, let's start our own ongoing Adopt-A-Downtown program.
