Led by Beautification Chair Penny White, the flowers were purchased again from Fairview Gardens and will be planted by our green thumb group on Wednesday, June 3rd (weather permitting).

Seth Baughman, part owner of Brother's Bar & Grill, has resigned from the DTC Board of Directors.  Seth was recently offered a position in Denver, CO.  We certainly wish you all the best and thank you for your work on our Board.

The Women's Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation has named Ann Cofell the 2015 ATHENA Award recipient.   Ann was chosen because of her commitment to improving the lives of others and her dedication to serving members of the community with her creativity and innovation.  Ann holds the position of Deputy Director of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid.

The St. Cloud Neighborhood Coalition (SCNC) is seeking an independent contractor to serve as the organization's executive director.  Will work under the direction and consent of the SCNC board in enabling neighborhoods to improve the quality of life for residents.  The workload will be approx. 20-30 hours per month.  Job description at www.scnc.us.

GeoComm received national recognition in technology magazine CIOReview's list of 20 most promising international GIS solutions providers for 2015.  911 systems need to a cell phone environment.  A next step is to dive further into 3-D mapping technology, including collecting and building models to be replicated for public safety usage.  Employs 90 and works with more than 12,000 dispatchers across U.S.

GREAT Photo/Video Contest
The City of St. Cloud is now accepting entries for the St. Cloud GREATER Photo/Video Contest.  The contest allows people to submit any photo/video combination from 9 categories, which includes business, community life, diversity, Downtown, events, neighborhoods, rivers (water), sports and transportation. 

Up to 10 entries and submissions can be entered online
All entries must be submitted by July 10. 
 
St. Cloud Times 30 Minute Walk
A Walk in the Park is a chance to get out and experience area parks.  Take a break in your day to join St. Cloud Times' staff for a 30-minute walk.  The Walks will start at noon each Tuesday, starting tomorrow and weather permitting.  Cancellations will be posted at www.sctimes.com.
