Greetings!
There are so many things we can do now that the weather is warmer and the days are longer. I'm sure with all of this sunshine your little ones are eager to get outside and play.
Some of the best outdoor activities are the simplest. Get out your bubbles and have a bubble chase. If your little ones are tired of sidewalk chalk have them draw a picture and then with a wet paint brush go over the picture and see how the colours mix and blend. Do you have a garden or a park nearby? Grab a clear container with holes poked into the lid and try to catch bugs. Your child will be so fascinated by the creatures they can find.
These simple activities are a great way to spark your children's interest and throughout the summer you can expand on these experiences. You can ask simple who, what, when, where, and why questions and get their big imaginations going.
Be sure to cheer on our athletes at the Pan Am games which start July 10! Go Canada Go!
I hope everyone has a wonderful summer!
Sincerely,
Leslie Wilson
