In October 2010, I had someone come on as a missionary volunteer, raising her own support. She is helping with office tasks and the outreaches we do. She serves 15 to 20 hours a week and it has been a HUGE BLESSING to have her here!

Your Steps Are Firm

When God made you, He had a great purpose in mind! Those dreams that continually keep coming up in your heart are there for a reason. These are the things God created you for! The timing of them may not be tomorrow, but as you seek God, He will show you how He wants to fulfill them through you.

He has practical steps and spiritual steps for you to take. Practical steps may be to create a business plan, research your dream or talk to experts in their field. Spiritual steps may be to spend some time in prayer, asking God to give you wisdom about how to make your dream possible. As you take these steps, you WILL begin to see your dream unfold.

Psalm 37:23 (NIV) The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him...

Recreation, Relationship, Restoration

We have been taking kids on more outings recently. Once to McDonald's and recently I took three of the teen girls to dinner. These times are always memorable and form a stronger bond between the adult mentors and the teens. We had great conversations with them. We talked about life issues such as; self harm, teen pregnancy, eating disorders, lust and pornography. We didn't plan to talk about these things, but as always, God simply sets up these conversations. As we provide recreational activities, relationships are built. Through these relationships, we watch God bring restoration to their lives.

Just as They Are

On Wednesdays when we serve lunch to the young men, God always seems to bring someone to my porch who is intoxicated. Each one that comes usually brings up a conversation about God and wants prayer. Even though they may not be completelly conscious of what we are saying, I believe God is getting His Word and His LOVE into their hearts. We are accepting them just as they are, sober or intoxicated... and they keep coming back every week.

Partnership

THANK YOU PARTNERS!!!! You are key to this ministry being fully funded and helping us to do things like the testimonies mentioned above. You are being an extension of the heart and vision of this ministry... "To see a generation rise up and take their place as CHAMPIONS for Jesus." Thank you for helping us show practical LOVE to the fatherless.

THANK YOU!

Rachel :)
