When it came time for the funeral the family was going to try to work it out with the prison for him to come, but it didn't work out. He sent a poem to me and asked if we would type it out, make copies and give it to the family. He wanted someone to read it at the funeral since he knew that he couldn't be there. God surprised me earlier this month! One of the young men who has been in prison showed up at my door to let me know that he is out of prison and to thank me for everything. He went to jail a year ago and had been one of our regulars on Wednesdays for lunch. We stayed in touch the majority of the time he was in jail.
