tHANK yOU!!! Partners, friends and family,
Thank you so much for your continued support in every way. You minister to me and this helps me minister to others. My prayer for you is that you will get a greater glimpse of God's LOVE for you, who He is and who He made you to be.

| fAVOR
I am noticing lately that God is giving me more favor and respect with the young men that I feed lunch to on Wednesdays. One guy in particular, when I first moved here, would barely even acknowledge me. But now, if my apartment door is open he will catch my attention and say hello to me. Also, ever since I went to visit him when he was in drug rehab, he has been even more tender hearted. As I was talking to him and some of his friends, he told them, "She came to visit me when I was in rehab. When she showed up, I was so happy!" That truly blessed me to hear him say that,. He could have easily hidden that from his friends in order to look tough. Thank you God for Your FAVOR! |
a pRECIOUS tREASURE
One Thursday afternoon during Hiding Place prayer, some of the young people and I were praying for God to pour out His spiritual flood on this neighborhood and East St. Louis. We were praying in English and also in tongues. A 12 year old girl was there who had never received the gift of speaking in tongues. I explained it to her and asked her if it was something she would like to have. She said YES! So the other kids and I prayed over her and she began to speak in tongues. It was such a beautiful thing to see. This young girl had just received a precious treasure that she will be able to use the rest of her life. |
COMFORT fOR A PRISONER
It's amazing how much a simple letter, once a week, can bring comfort and hope to a prisoner. I have seen this happen week after week with a young man who I visit in jail and write to weekly. I realized that the only comfort this young man could consistently receive was that of encouraging and hope-filled words. He cannot be touched by those he loves, because there is always a glass wall between us. He cannot receive comforting items from home because people have abused this privilege for the purpose of hiding drugs. Many times he has told me that just by reading the letters I have written him, brings him comfort and hope. I am convinced that even though he has many more years to serve in prison, through God's COMFORT, HOPE and LOVE, this young man can has a future and can be used by God to minister to others who are in prison with him. |
SOWING If you feel God prompting you to sow into this ministry, you can do so by clicking on the "DONATE" button below or by writing a check to "ESL DC" and mailing it to the address to the right. All gifts are tax deductible.
Also, I am working towards receiving the IRS "501 C3" tax status. In order to do that, there is a $750.00 filing fee. If you would like to help with this, you can give a one time gift of any amount and write "501 C3" in the memo of the check or the notes area if you are giving on-line.
