Tabata - Tuesdays 8:00am & Thursdays 5:30pm Tabata is a form of high-intensity interval training. It is a method that is much more beneficial than regular moderate-intensity training and much more fun. It's 20 seconds of high-intensity exercise followed by 10 seconds rest; your body continues to burn calories long after the workout is over. All exercises in Tabata are straightforward, easy to learn, and really get your heart rate up! Participants of Tabata wll notice improved cardio endurance and develop more lean muscle mass.
Qigong - Wednesdays 12:30pm Qigong is a practice of aligning breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, healing, and meditation. With roots in Chinese medicine, martial arts, and philosophy, Qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi) or what has been translated as "intrinsic life energy." Qigong classes involve rhythmic breathing coordinated with slow stylized repetition of fluid movement, a calm mindful state, and visualization of guiding qi through the body.
