St. Jude Memphis Marathon

M&B publisher Jan Seeley, along with some of her friends, particpated in the festivities at the Memphis Marathon on December 6. Fundraising teams from around the country participated in this year's St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend to support the kids of St. Jude. Through the generous support of fundraisers and their donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. The happy finishers (l to r): Elaina Newman (half) Carol "Pitts" Roberts, Ellie Pasqualini, Jan Seeley, Kathy Vance, and Lori Ozment (all marathon finishers).

Louisiana Marathon
January 16-18, 2015
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Registration is currently underway for The Louisiana Marathon, a three-day running festival happening January 16 - 18, 2015, in Baton Rouge, LA. Now in its fourth year, The Louisiana Marathon expects to attract 30,000 attendees from 50 states and 12 countries. A true celebration of both running and Louisiana culture, The Louisiana Marathon is helping Louisiana become known as the running capital of the south.

The Louisiana Marathon truly has a race for everyone, offering a 5K, kids marathon, quarter marathon, half marathon, and full marathon throughout the weekend. The Louisiana Marathon appeals not just to runners but also to everyone who appreciates Louisiana food and music. The success of The Louisiana Marathon proves that healthy living and good times are not mutually exclusive.

One of the weekend's most exciting events is the annual sold-out Pastalaya Dinner. This year The Louisiana Marathon is happy to announce Dave McGillivray, Boston Marathon race director - motivational speaker, world-class athlete, and accomplished entrepreneur - as the keynote speaker. Also in attendance and opening the presentation for Mr. McGillvray will be Major Kim "Rooster" Rossiter, USMC and founder of Ainsley's Angels of America. The dinner, taking place on Saturday, January 17, 2015, in the ballroom of the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol, promises to inspire and motivate.

Run+Eat+Dance+Laugh is the motto of the Louisiana Marathon, a nationally-recognized, 3-day running festival that showcases the sport of running with the passion of Louisiana music, cuisine, and art. Click here for more information.
