Sad News - The Passing of Fr. Rivers Patout - AOS Houston
Dear Friends,
As you know, Fr. Rivers Patout took ill during the AOS-USA Annual Conference and had a brain tumor removed soon afterward.
A few moments ago, we received word from The Rev. Marshall Bundren, that Fr. Rivers passed away this morning.
We do not have any other news at this moment, but ask that you keep Fr. Rivers, his family and friends, especially Pat Nemec his longtime friend, Pat Poulos, Lacy Largent, Marshall Bundren, David Wells, and all those with the Houston Seafarers' Center in your prayers.
Fr. Rivers was a founder of the Houston Center, and a long time AOS Port Chaplain. He will be truly missed.
We ask that our priests say a Mass for his intentions. For the laity, we ask that you attend a Mass or say a Rosary for his intentions. For our friends and counterparts of other Faiths, we ask you to join us in prayer in the manner you see most appropriate. Finally, we ask you to join us in prayers of thanksgiving for a life well lived in His service. Doreen M. Badeaux Secretary General
