Welcome New Business Member Faithful Farmers Market in Rusk & Ribbon Cutting 7/29/14!   

Please join us for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, July 29, 2014, 10:00 AM at the corner of West 6th (Hwy 84 E) and Barron streets in Rusk.

 

The Rusk Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome Terrance Battles and the board of directors of the Faithful Farmers Market as a new business member.

 

Join Terrance Battles and the other vendors and farmers at the Faithful Farmers Market opening that is scheduled for Tuesday, 7/29/14, at 10:00 AM. Faithful Farmers Market is located at the corner of West 6th (Hwy 84 E) and Barron streets in Rusk.

 

The market is now actively recruiting local growers and merchants. Faithful Farmers Market features produce, cottage foods, arts & crafts, food vendors, plants, bartering as well as hosts special events. Cherokee County Lions Clubs Free Eye Screening Test - 7/12/14

The Cherokee County Lions Clubs of Alto, Jacksonville, New Summerfield and Rusk are sponsoring Free Eye Screening Test to be conducted by the District 2-S1 Lions Vision Screening Team. The event will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Rusk Church of Christ Fellowship Hall located at 397 S Main St in Rusk, TX.

 

The screening is for adults only, must be over 18 years of age and not enrolled in public schools. The screening covers basic vision requirements.

Rusk Jr High 8th Grade Trip to Washington D.C. Fundraiser - 7/19/14 & 8/16/14

On Saturday, 7/19/14, you're invited to help support members of the Rusk Jr High 8th Grade class as they car hop for tips to help fund their trip to Washington D.C. The event will be held at the Rusk Sonic Drive In, located at 1505 N Dickinson Dr (Hwy 69) from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

 

A 2nd car wash fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, 8/16/14 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM in the parking lot of Barb's Too, located at the intersection of US Hwy 84 and US Hwy 69 in Rusk.
RISD School Registration Dates for 2014-2015 School Year
