The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) will hold a hiring seminar at 6:30 p.m. April 10 at the Hodge Unit in Rusk.

 

The seminar is primarily for correctional officer positions, but there are vacancies available for other positions. Information for those positions is available at http://www.tdcj.state.tx.us/tab2_emp.html.

 

Beginning pay for correctional officers is $2,435 per month. Employees are eligible for health and retirement after 90 days. An employee must be 18 years of age and be a high school graduate or have a GED certificate.
