UPDATE

September 12, 2014

MICRA Initiative

We have included below an update from Californians Allied for Patient Protection on the effort to defeat Prop 46 that would raise the cap on damages under MICRA. A new poll released today shows that support for the initiative is declining but we all need to remain vigilant in building opposition. Please take advantage of the resources provided to reach out to your staff and patients in educating all about the terrible impacts if this were to pass.

New Video Released

This week, the No on Prop. 46 campaign released a video highlighting the multitude of problems with the state-run CURES database that physicians and pharmacists would have to consult under Prop. 46. The two-minute video includes testimony from Mike Small, the expert in charge of CURES at the California Department of Justice.

You can watch the video here.

Get Involved!

We need your help to educate voters that Prop. 46 will increase health care costs, reduce access to care and jeopardize citizens' personal prescription drug information. We are counting on your involvement between now and November 4 to defeat this flawed measure.
