OVERHEARD ON THE SCHOOL PLAYGROUND...
One of my clients is precious 6 year old Christian, adopted by his parents from Vietnam at the age of nine months.
Christian's parents brought him to see me during the summer of last year with the following issues: aggressive behavior, maladaptive behaviors and developmental complex trauma. Christian's parents made the gracious sacrifice to help him from a natural perspective as much as possible, and so the entire family, including his adorable 3 1/2 year old brother William, agreed to follow the dietary protocol which I recommended for Christian.
Shortly after beginning the dietary shift, Christian's uncle asked him about his special diet. Christian responded with confidence, "It is not a diet, it's a healthy lifestyle change." That is something that not even all adults understand.
I also recommended the following tests for Christian over the last five months: adrenal cortisol function, GI function, neurotransmitters and hair mineral analysis. Dietary changes and supplement protocols were recommended based on test results, and within a month Christian's parents reported his aggressive behavior had dramatically decreased. His mom wrote to me in November last year,
"...Christian gave your name out to a mom on the playground the other day. We were swinging with some other kids... and the mom mentioned something about how much boys eat (versus girls)... I said, 'Yes, Christian is a good eater - a healthy one, too!' And Christian said without hesitating, 'You should call Dr. Price!'
Along with the dietary protocol and supplements, Christian's parents are doing additional famiy work in areas such as attachment, trust, healthy relationships, self-regulation techniques and daily physical exercise for Christian (he runs a mile a day). Christian's mom reports this month, "...Christian started back to school strong!"
Christian is an amazing and totally darling little boy whose foundation of health is being optimally shifted because his very committed parents made the decision to recreate his health rather than opt for pharmaceutical drugs that simply deal with symptoms. I am blessed to be able to work with this family!
