The ACPA Newsletter is a periodic bulletin designed for members of the Allegheny County Pharmacists Association for the purpose of disseminating important and relevant information and announcements about ACPA, PPA, and the profession of pharmacy in an efficient and effective manner. 

ACPA Bylaws Revisions Underway 


ACPA members in attendance at the March 5 Annual Business Meeting voted to approve changes to ACPA's Bylaws. The changes must pass a second vote before they can be adopted. The second vote will be held at the April 29 Business Meeting, the details of which are still being determined.

Yearbook Ads Available 


The ACPA Yearbook will be unveiled at the Annual President's Dinner in June. Place an ad in the yearbook to thank outgoing President Karen Pater for her outstanding leadership, and welcome incoming president Maria Osborne! Ads must be submitted by May 1. Details on the Annual President's Dinner will be available soon!

Also save the date for ACPA's Annual Picnic at Schenley Park's Anderson Pavilion on Wednesday, September 9, 2015! More details will be posted on the event page as they become available. 

PPA Legislative Day is April 13  


Make it a point to come to the Capitol in Harrisburg and participate in an event that unifies all aspects of pharmacy and delivers a strong message to legislators on issues that impact your profession and the patients you serve! Join your fellow pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists and talk with legislators about those issues during PPA's Legislative Day, Wednesday, April 13, 2015!

Patient Safety Home Study CE Available      


PPA provided a live CE webinar on March 3, titled Improving Patient Safety in the Treatment of Diabetes: Opportunities for Pharmacy. This one-hour webinar was recorded and is now available as an on-demand home study CE! Home studies are free for PPA members, and this program counts toward pharmacists' requirement for Patient Safety CE!
