To help raise awareness about this important issue, Stuyvesant Plaza is partnering with the Albany County Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (ACCADA),

The Legal Project and the New York State Office for the Prevention of

Domestic Violence (OPDV) by Going Purple during October. 

 

You will notice purple ribbons being displayed

throughout the Plaza all month long.

 

We can work together to raise awareness for domestic violence by turning the state purple in October.  Each year, one day in October is selected for all New Yorkers to wear purple and this year October 15th is Wear Purple Day,

so we encourage everyone to get your purple on!
