Elfstone Studio
Susan Meyer

Last year Susan took home the Most Picturesque award at the Minnesota Tile Festival. As you can see from her work, she deserved it. She is back again to showcase and sell some more of her award-winning work. We look forward to seeing (and collecting) her stunning tiles!

Elfstone Studio has become known for distinctive handmade tiles and plaques. The tile-making process begins with bas-relief sculpture created by Susan Meyer. The original sculpture designs, inspired by nature, mythology, and fairy tales, are reproduced in stoneware and porcelain to make the finished handmade tiles.

Stephanie Kazrowski
Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
|
Stephanie has shown and sold her work at all 12 Minnesota Tile Festivals. She is a show favorite with her beautiful hand stenciled tile work. Stephanie is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Stop by her booth and collect some of her newest work. All of them can be used as trivets, wall art and for tile installations.
Stephanie has been a stencil artist since 1983. After taking a class at the Minnetonka Center for the arts she began stenciling on wood , fabric and walls. The last 15 years she has specialized in stenciling on glazed commercial tiles. Individual tiles can be used as trivets or coasters. Stephanie's work are suitable for interior walls, floors and counter tops. I buy glazed commercial wall and floor tile, hand stencil designs with china paint, then fire the tile again for durability. The over glazes that I use have the look of watercolor.
Designs: Hundreds of stencil designs are available, including realistic images of Minnesota fish, birds, animals, leaves, fruits, and flowers.
