FROM THE DIRECTOR

Dear Parents,

It's such a fun time of the year when the weather is getting warm.

There is great joy in watching friendships among classmates deepen, and things seem a little sad when we think about not seeing friends during the summer.  Our theme at Chapel in May is Friends around the world, especially those wear clothes unlike ours and worship in different ways.  We emphasize that we are all children of God.

Please plan to come to the Book Fair, the Picnic and the end of year parties and celebrate with us.

FAMILY RESOURCES IN THE NEW LIBRARY
Library Opening
The Book Fair is being held in conjunction with the grand re-opening of the UCP church library.   We want the library to be a place for anyone to hang out and read or work on their computer.

Preschool Staff members are very excited to have added a section on Family Resources.  There are lots of books on the top shelf for parents to check out.  As the collection is increased there will also be a number of books on teaching children about faith.  The lower shelves have lots of booklets and pamphlets that you may take.  The majority of the materials are related to school success, but the topics also include health, safety, family concerns and developmental milestones.

FAMILY SURVEY
Thanks for your participation!

The Preschool sent out the Family Survey in mid-April.  As of April 26, 60+ surveys have been returned.  The surveys are being reviewed and tabulated by Preschool Advisory Committee.  The newsletter sent out in early June will include a summary of results.  By June 1, there will be a copy of the full results in the Preschool office which you may review.

Your responses are helpful in a continual process of improving the Preschool and helping us meet your family's needs.  Answers to every questions and all comments and suggestions are discussed by Preschool Advisory Committee.  Your input is very valuable to us.

If  you have not returned the survey, please bring it Monday or Tuesday and drop it in the tuition mailbox in the Preschool office.
