New Scotch Broth Mix
Barbara is back!
Battlefield Band Invasion

Leaves are putting on their annual display of color while days are warm, evenings are cooler and it has even snowed for our firends and family in Montana. We love autumn!

Cooler weather changes what we eat - shepherd's pie hot out of the oven, a big pot of scotch broth on the stove, a block of cheddar with a crust of bread. Outdoor meals move inside, and hot meals replace cool summer salads. All our cheeses are here, as well as frozen steak pies and shepherd's pies.

To encourage you to fall into some great Scottish foods - we'll take $10 off your order of $50 or more for the month of October. Simply add the PROMO CODE FALL when you check out on line or call us and say hello!

We look forward to serving you soon!

Sincerely,

Try our New Scotch Broth Mix!

Our thanks goes out to Melva M. of western PA. Melva asked us last fall for a

Scotch Broth Mix
Mother Mae's Scotch Broth Mix $6

Scotch Broth mix as Campbells, Baxters and Knorr no longer provide a lamb based Scotch Broth in cans or even as a dry mix. It took us a while to get the proportions right and to find Lamb Stock cubes, but we finally have a delicious new product you'll enjoy all year round.

This classic Scottish broth has plenty of barley, carrots, leeks, onions, potatoes and parsley in a tasty lamb broth. Add a crust of bread and some lovely Tobermory Cheddar and you have a meal. Want a richer stew-like meal - just add your own meat- lamb, chciken or beef. One pouch of mix makes 4 generous 8 ounce servings after an hour of simmering on your stove.

Barbara is back!

We know - you missed her almost as much as we did. Our trusted phone lady, Barbara Klug, has finally returned after three months recovering from back surgery. Please welcome her back when you speak with her!

Nancy is still here as well, just fewer days until we get into the Christmas rush.

Battlefield Band invades America in October!

If you love classic Scottish tunes, great fiddling and crisp voices - then the Battlefield Band is for you. Today they are in Nova Scotia at a major Celtic music festival. Beginning next week, they visit over a dozen cities from Maine to New York and west to Chicago. Have some fun, and even sample our haggis being served at a few of the venues!
