Call for Propoals for the Winnable Battles Collaboration Project
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) invites local health departments (LHDs) to submit applications to participate in The Winnable Battles Collaboration Project. This project will foster collaboration between LHD maternal, child, and adolescent health and LHD chronic disease prevention staff, and enhance their capacity to carry out projects that support the CDC Winnable Battles related to tobacco and obesity prevention. The project period is March 15, 2013 - September 20, 2013. Applications are due Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11:59 PM EDT. Find out more about the project and application process here.
Request for Proposals: Pilot Project for Public Health Case Reporting Using Consolidated Clinical Data Architecture

NACCHO, along with the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) announced a funding opportunity to support state and local health departments to participate in a pilot project for the implementation of public health case reporting from electronic health records (EHR) to public health agencies using Consolidated Clinical Data Architecture (C-CDA). The purpose of the pilot is to test Public Health Reporting Initiative (PHRI) products as resources to facilitate the implementation of public health case reporting from clinical providers to public health agencies. The National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2013
March 10 ishiv red ribbon National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The theme for this year's observance day is to "Share Knowledge. Take Action." To increase promotion of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD), the Office of Women's Health at HHS asks partner organizations -and women themselves -to share knowledge online and offline, and take action in their community. Events will be held around the country in observance of NWGHAAD. Learn more about NWGHAAD events in your area, or how to host your own!
National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems 2013 Annual Conference
collaboration The NAPH Annual Conference, held in Hollywood, FL from June 19-21, 2013, is the premier national event for hospital and health system leaders. Participants will gather to discuss crucial issues for patients and communities, hear dynamic keynote speakers, and participate in interactive educational sessions. More than 300 peers and experts are expected to attend and explore a broad variety of topics-from health information technology and the power of patient engagement to integrated care delivery and population health.
