One-Week-Old Kittens Abandoned
Staff member feeds abandoned kitten
Recently a Kentucky Humane Society employee found 6 one-week-old kittens abandoned outside our doors. They were left in an ice cream tub without their mother.

Kittens this young desperately need their moms. They are very fragile, and they require round-the-clock feedings and specialized care.

Thanks to dedicated foster volunteers and staff and your donations, these kittens have a fighting chance.

Give today to help these kittens have a fighting chance.

Summer Camp

The kids have been so excited about all the projects and fun they've been having at camp. From playing with their animal friends to tasting the produce they are growing in the garden, our summer campers are having the times of their lives!

The East Campus camps are closed, but we still have a few spaces left at the Main Campus. There are spaces available July 25-29 and August 1-5. Do you know a child who loves animals and nature? Sign them up today!
Big Dog Fix

Did you know that large dogs have it much harder in shelters? Big dogs take up more cage space, and it often takes them three times as long to get adopted. And big dogs have big litters - often 10-15 puppies!

That's why spaying and neutering is critical. You can help solve the local pet overpopulation problem by donating to the Kentucky Humane Society S.N.I.P Clinic's "Big Dog Fix." Your donation will help the S.N.I.P. Clinic provide low-cost spay/neuter surgeries to big dogs, right here in our community.

YOUR GIFT WILL BE MATCHED

In addition, Henry and Roxy the Pit Bulls and their family have agreed to match donations - dollar for dollar - up to $5,000! That's $10,000 - enough to offer $20 spay/neuter surgeries to more than 225 big dogs in our area!

Behavior Classes Beginning in July

There are many behavior classes starting in July. From Manners for Life to Therapy Dog Prep, we've got a class for you!

Behavior classes can be a fun way to bond with your dog while getting him to change unwanted behaviors or learn new skills.

Sponsor a Pet!

Have you considered sponsoring a pet? Sponsorships help all pets who come to the Kentucky Humane Society by offsetting the costs of providing food, shelter, enrichment and veterinary care. You can sponsor as much, or as little, as you wish. Every dollar helps!

How to Sponsor
It's easy to sponsor a dog, cat or horse: simply click on any animal's photo on our adoption pages, and you'll see the "Sponsor Me" link appear below the animal's larger picture. You can sponsor any of our adoptable dogs, cats or horses by making a donation using the "Sponsor Me" form. Your gift will support our lifesaving mission.
