#VilleMegaAdopt
Our staff is busy gearing up for Louisville's BIGGEST pet adoption weekend ever! On October 17 and 18, there will be no adoption fees for any animals at the Kentucky Humane Society's Main Campus at 241 Steedly Drive or Louisville Metro Animal Services' Animal House on Newburg Road in Louisville. (Adopters pay $9.50 for licensing fees.) While adoption fees are waived, we are not waiving the adoption process, and each family will meet with an adoption counselor to ensure a perfect pet match.

During our #VilleMegaAdopt celebration, we'll also have food, children's activities, vendors, a demo car from Neil Huffman Subaru, a bicycle raffle, and other surprises. The celebration, which runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days, is part of the ASPCA's national Mega Match-a-thon presented by Subaru.

Neglected Puppies Steadily Improving under KHS Care

Chance and Grace came to KHS malnourished, riddled with worms and full of mange. Even worse, the only experience they seem to have had with humans has been negative, and they flinch at any movement toward them.

While the mange will take months to treat and the fear and shyness even longer, Chance and Grace are already feeling much better. The worms have been treated, and the healthy, nutritious food they are receiving is strengthening the pups. Even more importantly, they are slowly beginning to trust their first people.

We could not take in and care for pups like Chance and Grace were it not for your kindness and generosity. Your gifts make these pups' treatment possible and gives us the resources we need to ensure that all the dogs and cats who come through our doors have the best chance possible to find their forever homes. Thank you.

Give Local Success

This year's Give Local Louisville was a success because supporters like you donated. Thank you. We are proud to say that only one organization surpassed us in the number of people who gave.

For the event this year, we launched puppy and kitten breaks, where businesses can reward staff by bringing in a puppy or kitten to the workplace for a de-stress break.

Santa Says 'Save the Date!'

Save the date! You won't want to miss Picture Your Pets with Santa, this December 5&6 and 12&13 at all area Feeders Supply locations. Have your pet photographed with Santa, or bring the whole family for a Christmas memory you'll never forget.
