Healthy Pets Program Offers Low-Cost Wellness Exams
The first Saturdays of the Healthy Pets Program have gone well, with our veterinarian and staff working with 64 pets in the first two weeks.

This low cost service is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment is needed. Please note: May 2 (Derby) and July 4 the clinic will not be open.

Wellness exams for dogs are $30 and include basic veterinary exam and three core vaccines -- rabies, DHPP and bordetella.

Wellness exams for cats are $20 and include basic veterinary exam and two core vaccines -- rabies and FVRCP.

Besides preventative vaccinations, we offer heartworm and FeLV/FIV tests, fecal tests, deworming, heartworm preventative, flea control and microchipping.

Waggin' Trail Will Soon Be Here. Have You Registered?

Waggin' Trail, sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition, is one of the Kentucky Humane Society's biggest fundraisers of the year. This year, we Walk for the Animals on May 16 at Waterfront Park's Big Four Lawn. We're making the event even more festive by adding live music by Ghost Holler and Dick Cheney, beer and wine, and great food.

Register for the event and raise funds for KHS! The registration fee is $25. After you raise $50, you receive a quality silver gray T-shirt with an image of the Louisville skyline on the front. We've got many other great gifts for our fundraisers. See them here.
