Discarded Like Trash

Maxie, a three-month-old Chihuahua/greyhound mix, was dumped on the side of Dixie Highway like so much trash. Abandoned, the poor girl could have easily run into the street and been another dead dog by the side of the road.

Waggin' Trail: Sign up today and receive a KHS bandanna!

Waggin' Trail will be held Saturday, May 16. We'll be at Waterfront Park on the Big Four Lawn this year. There will be booths, prizes, games and, of course, the walk.

We have some great prizes this year, including a light for your dog or yourself to keep you safe when walking at night and a captain's chair to relax in after the walking is over.

It's not too early to sign up and start collecting pledges for the event. Sign up by March 16 and receive a KHS bandanna. This year, we'd love to raise more than $100,000 for the dogs and cats at the Kentucky Humane Society, and with your help, we can do just that!
