KHS has lots of wonderful beagles looking for their forever homes. We are celebrating Beagle-mania by offering half their regular adoption fee. This adoption special will run through Sunday, March 16. Tom Mabe Show March 29 - Benefiting KHS
 

Ticket sales for international prankster Tom Mabe and his upcoming "Clean Southern Comedy Tour" in Louisville will benefit the Kentucky Humane Society. Mabe will have performances at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Clifton Center on Saturday, March 29. Interested in attending? You must use this link for $5 from your ticket purchase to benefit KHS. Spring Pet Portraits 
 

Feeders Supply is teaming up with KHS and other animal charities to provide pet portraits at five Feeders Supply locations to interested pet owners on Saturday, April 5. Proceeds from the event will benefit the animal charities hosting each location. Learn more.

 


Kitten Shower
 
It's kitten season and the Kentucky Humane Society needs YOUR help in order to care for all the tiny kittens headed our way. We are holding a "kitten shower" to help gather these much-needed items on March 15 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Main Campus. There will be games, entertainment for the children and refreshments. Cat Neuter-a-thon

The Power of Fur

Waggin' Trail at The Parklands
 

Waggin' Trail is fast approaching. Won't you sign up to walk today? This year we're at the scenic Parklands at Floyd's Fork, and there will be a number of different trails to choose. In addition to a walk in a beautiful park, there will be booths, food, entertainment, music and much more. All proceeds go towards KHS' lifesaving mission. Learn more

 


Hill's Pet Nutrition Challenge
 

Hill's Pet Nutrition is working with Louisville Public Media (LPM) to support the Kentucky Humane Society. For every pledge made to LPM now through March 22, Hill's Pet Nutrition will donate one pound of pet food to the Kentucky Humane Society. This food will go toward feeding pets in our P.R.O.U.D. Program and our Working Cats Program. 

 

If you're not already a public radio supporter, now is a great time to become a member and help out our furry friends at the same time! LPM pledge drive.

 

 


March Workshops 

 

KHS and Chance's Spot will present Pet Loss and Grief: Understanding, Coping, and Healing on March 20 from 6 to 7 p.m. at our East Campus on Lyndon Lane. A donation of $10 is requested per participant. 

 

Dog Meets Baby will be presented on March 24 from 6 - 7 p.m.at Mama's Hip.Learn how to prepare your dog for the new addition. A $5 per family donation is requested.

Puppy & Teenager Socials
 

Puppy and Teenager Socials are a great way to provide exercise, socialization, and even a little training to your four-legged friend. These one-hour classes are only $10 and are available at the East Campus on Tuesday evenings and the Main Campus on Wednesday evenings.
