Mt. Hollywood Pilot Program Ends Soon! Your Voice Needed!

Recently, Mt. Hollywood Dr. was opened to allow cars to park to get a picture of the Hollywood Sign and/or to hike to it and enjoy that eastern part of Griffith Park. The purpose of this "test" was to create a feasibility study for the Recreation and Parks Department. The media coverage has been fair and we hear from neighbors in Beachwood Canyon that this pilot program has caused somewhat less crowding on our local streets.

This program is scheduled to end April 12. We are getting close to the end of the first Spring Break and there is another on its heels.

If you would like to see this program extended and have witnessed its success, NOW is the time to let the leadership of Recreation and Parks know how you feel. Please share your thoughts on this program and on the value of extending it.

FAA Helicopter Noise Complaint System

Link to Complaint Form

OUR APOLOGIES. OUR PRIOR EMAIL AND FLYER HAD AN ERROR IN THE COMPLAINT SYSTEM TELEPHONE NUMBER.  PLEASE USE THE NEW FLYER.

Every resident in Los Angeles County can now report helicopter noise on the Federal Aviation Administration's new automated Helicopter Noise Complaint System. We can stop helicopter noise - if we ALL report those low flying, hovering, or noisy helicopters.

The system is easy to use - with three ways to report noise complaints:

1.  Call 424-348-4354 (that's 424-348-HELI) and follow the voice prompts.

2.  Use the General Complaint Form at http://heli-noise-la.com/how-to-use/

3.  Track and complain about a specific helicopter at http://heli-noise-la.com/webtrak/

The Federal Aviation Administration funded development of the complaint system and is funding its initial operation from April 2015 through March 2016.

So, please use this system every time you are bothered by helicopter noise. Let the FAA know it is important to you. This is a unique opportunity to have your voices heard. Send this flyer to your friends and neighbors - remind them to be part of the solution - and help fix this problem.

Thank you.
