Cheremoya is a California Distinguished school and heading towards lottery year #2 for open enrollment. Whether you are an in-area family or interested in petitioning/open enrollment, now is the chance to meet the principal, visit classrooms, learn about all extracurricular and after school programs, as well as everything else that makes the Cheremoya Family tick! 

Check in at the front office 9:15 AM, grab some coffee and a morning treat in the front hall, and off we'll go.

Lights, Camera, Cure! March 21st.

 

 



 

Greetings Hollywood Arts Council Members & Supporters. The Hollywood Arts Council is partnering with a terrific charity benefit on March 21st at the Avalon Theater on Vine Street right here in Hollywood! The Hollywood Dance Marathon brings together supporters from Hollywood and all over Los Angeles to dance for a cure to pediatric cancer. The event features non-stop entertainment - bands, DJ's, dance groups, celebrity appearances and more. In its first three years, the Hollywood Dance Marathon has donated nearly $200,000 to help children and families battling pediatric cancer. There is a special offer for all Hollywood Arts Council members. Get your tickets and get a discount on either General or VIP Admission. This email is to inform you that FilmL.A. has received a permit request from ABC STUDIOS to film "LA CRIME" at 5959 Franklin Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028. Their request would include the following full closure:

 

 

FULL CLOSURE OF TAMARIND AVE., FRANKLIN AVE - NORTH 350' (LOCAL/EMERGENCY TRAFFIC ALLOWED) ON 3/23 FROM

11 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

 

 

This closure has been submitted for review and approval to the Public Works Department. The company is also performing community surveys at all affected residence. Fundraiser for My Friend's Place - Hike - April 4th at 6:45 p.m!

 


 

 

Please join My Friend's Place on Saturday, April 4th, for a fun and unique evening experience in Griffith Park led by a master of moonlight hikes, Phil Green. Phil is developing the new community program at the Greek Theatre and leads monthly full moon hikes in Griffith Park, where he can be found several days a week searching for new trails to share with people of all ages. This moonlight hike is appropriate for all types of outdoor enthusiasts, including  first-time hikers and families with children (ages 7 and up).

 

The hike is expected to take approximately 2.5 hours and will include breathtaking views from Mount Hollywood. All hikers must arrive at the starting point by 6:45 p.m. and bring their own snacks, water and flashlight. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is a suggested contribution of $25 per family or group to support My Friend's Place. Savannah Greene Performs - Monday, April 6, 2015

 

Neighbors, Margaret Wooten & Richard Greene invite YOU!

    

We are delighted to invite you to Savannah Greene's Master's Recital for the completion of her graduate studies at USC.

Admission is FREE and it will be in the acoustically fabulous Alfred Newman Recital Hall on the USC Campus.

Monday, April 6th at 7:30 pm, with refreshments to follow in the lobby. 

Savannah and the wonderful pianist, Jasper Jimenez will be performing works by Bellini, Walton, Berg, Chausson, and Duparc. We truly hope you can join us in this celebration of a great milestone in her career.

To get to Alfred Newman Hall, enter at Gate 3 off Figueroa St. at 35th St. Below Savannah's picture are some clarifications to the directions.
