Keeping Our Neighborhood Safe

We hate to spread bad news but the fact is, our streets are being targeted by opportunistic criminals in search of valuables left in cars. While they do that, they may also be looking at our homes. Please report suspicious behavior to the non-emergency number 877-ASK-LAPD

Westshire has had several car break-ins and now Deronda and Rodgerton. What about your neighborhood? Write to us and send footage and/or stills that your surveillance cameras capture.

Also, TODAY, after the wildlife meeting (see below), there is an opportunity to talk to the LAPD about the crime on your street (see below).

Crime on Deronda

There have been several incidents of car break-ins this past couple of weeks. The guys who broke into Joe's car the other night were organized. He just reviewed his surveillance footage and a white SUV dropped off a guy at the top of the hill. That guy systematically checked every car from Carole's car, Robert & Ellies's driveway and cars as he worked his way down the street. He stopped at Lisa's and Joe's Mercedes and Ellison's car. He actually walked right into Robert and Ellie's driveway and was out of sight for 3 minutes. This took place at approximately 2:40 a.m. Below is video footage (just click on the stills). Please pass these on to any neighbors who may not yet be on our neighborhood watch list.

Breaking news: Some of Joe's paperwork from his car is missing. We may have to adopt a policy within our homes of bringing in all paper work including registration and insurance documents when retiring for the evening. Maybe place the registration/insurance package with your keys so you don't leave them in the house when you go out the next day. These crimes have been reported to the police and we can only hope they will step up their patrol in this area of Beachwood Canyon.

Max Needs a Forever Home!

Max von Moers is a regal 6 year old classic looking German Shepherd. He tips the scales at over 95 pounds. He is a gentle giant when it comes to babies and kids. He even allowed a three year old little girl to ride him. Her parents didn't know better.

His best buddy was a 40 pound female. He does not do well with smaller dogs. Max walks well on the leash and has had obedience training. He is so loving and sweet. Lucky Max is in a foster home. Let us know if you would like to meet our big hunk.

Click on any of these photos to show your interest.

Will you welcome Max into your home?
